The complete Bible in Tarifit, with audio (more audio files will become available in the course of time) containing the complete Old Testament & New Testament. The translation is thoroughly based on the original languages of the Bible: Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. For the New Testament we have followed to a great extent the text of the Aramaic Peshitta, which is basically the same as the Greek editions of the New Testament, but has the Aramaic variant Mar-Yah of the Hebrew Name of the LORD YaHWeH. The first portions of the Bible in Tarifit became available in 1887 (the Gospel of Matthew) and in 1890 the Gospel of John. Both were printed in London by Stephen Austin and Sons, Printers, Hertford. These editions were in Arabic script. The first complete New Testament in Tarifit was printed in 2009 in Tifinagh, Latin and Arabic script. In this edition of the full text of both New and Old Testament, this New Testament has been revised. For more information visit: www.tarifit.info
